He gained a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry in 1990 and worked at Johnson\u2019s & Johnson\u2019s research center in Montr\u00e9al from 1990 to 1996 as a research assistant for consumer products. Martin joined the Valleyfield plant in 1996 as a Production Team Leader \u2013 Process Research overseeing production from grain receiving to distillates and DDG, he also did the analytical testing required for process control and was involved in quality control of finished products such as vodka, gin, whisky and rum.
